Grandpa's Shaving Party
Kent's dad found out a couple months ago that he has lymphoma in the lymph nodes in his back. He has had two treatments of chemotherapy and has started losing his hair. He didn't want the grandkids to be afraid of him if the next time they saw him he was completely hairless, so he decided to have a hair shaving party and let the grandkids shave his hair and beard. They were a little timid at first, but then they started getting used to it. We all teased his dad that he looked just like Craig, the oldest, because Craig shaved his head one time (maybe still has it shaved?). They like to tease Craig, but all in good fun. Anyway, it's in stage 4, which is the most advanced stage of cancer and the doctors told him after chemo that he should have a 60% chance of curing it and an 80% chance of it going in remission, but the treatments are hard on the heart and patients who have heart problems, which Kent's dad does, have a higher risk going through the chemo. Kent is taking it pretty well and is just trying to spend as much quality time with him as possible since we really have no idea what could happen. Keep us in your thoughts and prayers if you could!

Kris I am so sorry about your FIL and I hope everything turns out good for him. I know how hard it is to see a loved one sick. My mom has had several problems and it is so hard!
I'm sorry about your FIL too. Hopefully it all works out for the best. WHat a cute idea w/ the shaving party... what a great sounding guy.
