He did it!
Way to go, Kent!
I'm so proud of him! He did AWESOME and worked SO HARD.
He wasn't going to walk for graduation, but I told him he should because it was kind of like the final step of the whole process and it would make it feel complete, so he did and he agreed with me.
It was A LOT of hard work, sacrifice, stress, and frustration for both of us, but it has yielded a lot of success, satisfaction, peace of mind, and happiness.
These past two years have flown by and I can't believe he is done! So worth it though! (Besides having to start paying on those darn student loans!) Another chapter in our lives complete. A new one to start SOON.
A Krannert Graduate!

January catch-up
Kent turned 33 in January! We went to this YUMMY BBQ place called South Street Smokehouse. They have DELICIOUS, HUGE onion rings and super yummy sandwiches, ribs, etc. I love the signature pigs and hurse in front of the restaurant! He got a new tackle box and some candy from his parents and the kids got him new slippers and two big Hershey cookies n' cream candy bars - his favorite!
This is the card I made my cousin when she had her baby. I sent her the clothes dividers and burp cloths I love to make for new babies. I really enjoy making homemade items as gifts - they usually save me a little money plus its nice to have a homemade touch to gifts I give.

One awesome dad!
My kids sure are attached to their dad! Kent says its because he is the best dad in the world! ;) I love how he comes home from a long day and they come running to the door screaming "Daddy's home!" and he picks them up and hugs and swings them around. Then he'll play on the floor with them for a while.
I love how he entertains them when I'm trying to get dinner made, or he'll make dinner if I'm in the middle of doing something else.
I love how he always makes me feel loved and beautiful, no matter how ugly I feel that day!
I love how he overlooks my weaknesses and loves me unconditionally.
I love that he works hard to support his family and wants what's best for them.
I love that he is willing to give me a girls night out every once in a while.
I love when he keeps his four o'clock shadow for a few days! :)
I love how he is willing to help with giving baths, doing homework, and putting the kids to bed.
I love that he is willing to deal with a clingy, loud Harrison during church!
I love that he takes one of the kids with him on errands sometimes.
I love that he is dedicated to his family, his calling at church, and the gospel.
I just love him!

We had a fun day because school got canceled due to the extremely cold weather, so after I made a breakfast of French toast, bacon, eggs and juice Kent opened his presents (the clothes and some spiced nuts from the kids). Later we went to Arni's for lunch and then came home and just relaxed a bit. I had to work that night, but at least we were able to spend the day together. Kent's brother gave us his Guitar Hero that he doesn't use anymore, so we all enjoyed playing that a while. I have to admit its kind of addicting! Kent has become a pro at it and can rock out to a lot of the songs! Tyler really likes it too and is really good for being so small! More on that later. Anyway, I couldn't have asked for a better guy to marry - he truly is wonderful to me and the kids!

Video of Donkey Basketball
Donkey Basketball
The high school cheerleaders had a fundraiser to earn enough money to buy a new mascot suit and they decided to host a donkey basketball game! Teachers from the different schools played against each other and of course Kent had to sign up! They were going to wear jeans and cowboy shirts, but then decided to wear more basketball type outfits with cowboy boots. Kent was bummed about that, so he decided to at least keep the cowboy hat, holster and sunglasses to add some fun. I have to admit he looked dang good in his cowboy hat and sunglasses!
Everyone anxiously anticipating the start of the donkey ball game!
Introduction of the team - Kent had the donkey named Super Stupid - because he was the most stubborn of all and was trained to buck anyone off! Right when he brought him out the donkey laid down and didn't want to get up! We could tell it was going to be quite amusing right off the bat! The last picture is of Kent waving as they announce his donkey and him. Kent's parents, Kyle and Kelly, and Candy and her girls came to watch the show too. It's a good thing, because it was SOOOO hot in there and I wouldn't have been able to get some good footage AND try to keep up with three kids!
Everyone had a blast watching the players try to get on and STAY on the donkeys! The trainer/umpire kept pinching (or something!) the donkeys rump or running after them just to liven things up a bit! Some of the teachers had some pretty hard falls - good thing they wore helmets! Some of the donkeys really did some bucking and running away. IT WAS SO HILARIOUS!!!
The first game Kent hardly got to play in the first game because he kept having to run after his donkey the whole time. They lost, so they played a consolation game with the losers from the elementary schools, which happened to be Tyler's school. During the second game he had a better donkey and was actually able to steer him where he wanted to go. Kent got the ball right at the end of the second game, but missed the shot. It wouldn't have made a difference anyway b/c Tyler's school was way ahead of them. Tyler loved seeing his dad and a lot of teachers he knew play.
I've got more pictures, but for some reason they wouldn't upload. Maybe I reached my limit for one post. Anyway, I'll add another post, plus I have some video footage too!
