So we are at that time where we are beginning to get the house ready to put on the market. Here is a list of things we need to do before its all said and done:
1. paint kitchen - check!
2. roll yard and spread grub control - check! But the pesky mole has made more tunnels!!!
3. declutter, declutter, declutter! - in the process
4. fix siding where dog tore it up
5. put in new kitchen sink - getting done this Saturday
6. power wash vinyl siding/concrete - this Saturday if its warm enough
7. replace window in backdoor - this Saturday hopefully
8. touch up trim inside
9. plant shrubs, add mulch
10. shampoo carpets
So as you can see, there is still a lot of stuff to do, but at least we are starting on it. I have a goal to work on a couple "corners" of clutter each day. I'm also deciding what can go to the Goodwill. I've got this kind of cool rafia-like woven rocking chair that is in dire need of repair on the seat part, but the rest is actually is great shape, but I just don't want to move it and take the time to fix it (or have the know how!). Any takers on it? It would be a cool porch rocker if it was fixed right.
I kind of get over-whelmed thinking about how in the world I am going to keep everything neat and tidy all the time once it is on the market (especially Morgan's room!!!). I'm also praying that we sell the house BEFORE we get another call from Richfield! That would make things much easier - even if it meant we had to move into an apt. for a few months.

When our house was on the market I put TONS of stuff in storage and that helped a lot. The house didn't get as messed up because there wasn't as much for the kids to get out. Usually we were given at least 12 hours notice before we had a showing, so that helped. I had a tote handy that I could throw last minute things into and then just throw it in the van right before I left before a showing. Good Luck!
I'm sure this is a stressful process. Good Luck!
Wow! I can't imagine having to get everything ready to sell. Our list would be twice or three times as long. Good luck! Let us know!
You are in a stressful situation right now. Just think, atleast you won't have to work outside the home anymore.yay! I hope Kent starts feeling better so you guys can work on your to do list together.
Sounds like you guys are busy. Hope everything works out the way you want with getting back into Richfield! Good luck with the house!
