A fun way to pass the time away.

So we've been stuck inside for two days straight with this icy blizzard hitting us. Yesterday I decided it would be fun for Morgan to use her Easy Bake oven again since we have only been able to use it once since she got it. The first time we made a cake with chocolate frosting that actually turned out pretty tasty. This time we made Valentine sugar cookies. They were bite size and a bit on the crunchy side, but they smelled wonderful and tasted really good too!

We also played lots of games, watched movies, read, and made a special fruit smoothie. Today it has continued to snow (although no ice thankfully!) and there is a lot of snow on the ground. We've played more games, practiced spelling and math skills, played video games, board games, read, and used up the rest of the fruit smoothie ingredients. I must say, fruit smoothies are one of my favorite foods!!!! And they really are quite healthy for you the way we made them - vanilla frozen yogurt, skim milk, frozen raspberries and blueberries, 100% fruit juice, and a little bit of sugar. YUM!!!! My kids get so excited when I make them. I think we are all getting a little stir crazy though and would like to be able to get out for a bit. Not that I'm wishing for me to go into labor just quite yet or anything! That would stir things up a bit. The roads are probably pretty bad still and it is still snowing. You know it's bad when Purdue cancels everything for the past two days! I'm sure things will be up and running normally by tomorrow. Luckily I thought ahead of time and went to the grocery store on Monday before it all hit. I don't remember having a storm this bad in AGES!

Sounds like you guys had a couple good days at home too! We've really been enjoying our two snow days. They never cancel school here, only the second time since we moved here. We've been getting redbox movies and eating popcorn and junk food and homemade cookies. It's been wonderful!
