The day after we moved to Columbus we just dropped everything and headed back up to Lafayette for a fun-filled Allen get-together. Kent's oldest brother, Craig, and his family drove out from Colorado for a few days. The cousins all had a blast hanging out and relaxing at Grandpa and Grandma's house. We actually hadn't checked out of our apartment yet, so we ended up spending the night there along with Kyle, Kelly and Leon. It was completely bare, but it was a good thing we had it still because there was no way Callie or Leon would have been able to get a good night's sleep with all the chaos that was going on until the wee hours of the night. Plus it would have just been way too crowded for getting ready, etc. The kids started playing together like they hadn't ever been apart. It was fun to watch them all interact. Morgan was attached to Alyssa like Velcro. She ADORES her older girl cousins! Meagan was the greatest babysitter ever! She was quite persistant and even when Callie was a little fussy it didn't deter her from packing her around. It was actually really nice to get a break from Callie because she has been SOO clingy lately! Meagan even got her to sleep a couple times! By the end of the weekend, Callie would go to pretty much anyone! It didn't last long because once we got home, she wouldn't even go to Kent! She's better now, but I sure enjoyed it while it lasted.
Carol planned some fun water games and of course the guys, or should I say KENT, took advantage of the hose and got Carol soaked! Poor Grandma! They had so much fun and it was perfect weather for it. Thanks for doing that, Carol! I'm sure it will be something the kids will remember for a long time.
Callie's new love - popsicles!! I would have NEVER let any of the other kids have one at 5 1/2 months, but hey - she's the last one, so she is suppose to be spoiled, right? ;) She can't get enough of them and when she sees any one with a popsicle, she leans into them and tries to grab it. She knows what tastes good! She's gotten a bigger mouthful than she bargained for a few times and got this look of panic so we have had to fish it out of her mouth before she got a brain freeze. But she always goes back for more!
We celebrated Hadyn and Harrison's birthdays too. They are birthday buddies!
It was a great weekend and we will miss having everyone around. Thanks for all the wonderful memories everyone! And thanks Gary and Carol for allowing a little bit of chaos to interrupt your home and for providing all the great food! We love you!

I think it was the best time we've had at Gary and Carol's. We're so glad you guys could come back for a few days. It made it so fun to see everyone. I'll be sure to show Meagan the blog. She loves to keep up on them!
