The Polar Express!
Grandpa and Grandma von Harten got tickets on the Polar Express! The kids were so excited to be able to ride the Polar Express to the North Pole to see Santa Claus! It was a fun-filled, magical evening the kids will never forget.
The kids were bursting with anticipation! After dressing in our jammies, a long drive to get there, pictures, potty breaks, and waiting in line, we finally were able to board the Polar Express and make our way to the North Pole!

Ready for the ride!

They read the story of the Polar Express over the sound system, but it was kind of hard to hear because of all the talking and the noise of the train. Tyler enjoyed following along though.

They served us hot chocolate and cookies - just like in the movie!

We made it to the North Pole!

Waving to Santa Claus!

The conductor punched their ticket just like on the movie, except with just their intial

the fly-away ticket!
Taking turns on Santa's lap

If they believed, they got a bell!

Even Callie got one - hey, what do you do with this thing? She figured out if she shook it, it would make lots of noise!

Or eating it might be better.

It was a LONG afternoon/evening, but totally fun! Thank you Grandpa and Grandma for taking us on the Polar Express! It will always be something we remember.
