We went to Huntsville, Alabama for our first official Spring Break vacation EVER with some good friends of ours, the Thompsons. It was beautiful weather AND beautiful scenary! After a long 6 hour drive (they actually did pretty good except for Harrison asking, "How much longer?" every few minutes!) and a good hearty lunch, we ventured out to our first attraction. The SyQuest Children's Museum. It was small, but had a lot of fun things to do and learn about.
They seemed to know what kids like - learning all about ALL the bodily functions! Why you burp, throw up, get pimples, have different body odors (you could even take a whiff of each one and guess what it was! Needless to say I only smelled one or two before deciding I really didn't want to smell a toot!), and how your digestive system works. Here Harrison is making the guy burp after drinking pop.
There was a fun little house that talked about plumbing, electricity, etc. It had a miniature kitchen that I couldn't get Morgan out of and a fun floor keyboard to dance on.
This was so cool! The screen reacted to your shadow, so you could play hockey with your shadow and a shadow of a ball!
Of course, we all had fun looking into the magic mirrors.
There was magnetic black sand that you could make a bridge out of. Super cool and fun to play with!
I think they were generating light by how much they peddled.
After that, we headed to the hotel to check-in. There was this gorgeous little canal and 2 ponds surrounded by beautiful blooming trees that were right outside our hotel. The next day we walked down to check it out and take some cute pictures.
There were tons of HUGE goldfish and catfish swimming in the pond!
